(EPS) is a growing Commercial Electrical Contractor that has been in business for over 35 years and is currently seeking a Purchasing Manager to join our team.

This new position would work closely with our sales team and Project Managers in the planning, pricing, and purchasing of material.
This position would serve as the key focal point with our vendors and field leads with purchasing planning and summarizing material data and trends.

Possesses strong leadership and effective communication skills working closely with assigned Project Managers and Field Leads by gaining an understanding of required material needed to complete projects from start to finish.
Develops purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data, understanding market trends and material availability.
Prepares purchase orders by verifying material specifications and pricing, while maintaining recommendations from suppliers and vendors Manages purchases by forwarding orders to vendors and monitors estimated delivery times keeping Project Managers updated on estimated arrival and inventory.
Ability to coordinate purchasing efforts across the entire organization by developing and implementing innovative purchase and return work-flow patterns to help streamline the material management process.
Secures approval of material from EPS Accounting Manager and authorizes payment for approved purchases and verifies receipt of items received to items ordered along with resolving shipment errors with suppliers and vendors.
Possesses a strong understanding of upcoming projects and works to develop an effective plan and process to purchase material in bulk when possible and develops a keen sense of estimated procurement times and delays.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Systems software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Understanding of construction material management software (Procore or PlanGrid) is also a plus and any experience of SAGE/SSO software would be beneficial.

This position will report to the Director of Operations.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience in a manufacturing environment, be detail oriented, have strong communication skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities Oversee all purchasing activities at our Chaska, MN location Ensure that all Chaska, MN products are priced accurately Develop and implement pricing strategies to ensure that we are offering the best prices for the best products Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, inventory control, and auditing Maintain accurate records of purchases, sales, returns, etc.
Develop and implement systems to ensure that purchasing is done efficiently and effectively Ensure that all vendors are working with us in a timely manner and work with them on pricing, delivery dates, etc.
Maintain relationships with vendors to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively with us Oversee the flow of inventory through our facility; ensure that it is kept organized and in good condition.
Oversee the quality of all products being purchased from vendors.
