QA Technician - 2nd Shift (1pm-9:30pm Mon - Fri)

The Quality Assurance Technician works with FSQA Manager to ensure product safety and the quality of all products in the Food Division. Assist in product safety, product quality, and cost reduction projects. This position requires a working knowledge of the following:
moisture analysis, water activity, granulation, good manufacturing practices regarding food safety, QualiTech's Food Safety & Quality System and strong knowledge of QualiTech's food products. Responsible for performing all work within established Quality Assurance and corporate safety guidelines.Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and reporting analytical results of products and raw materials including alerting out of compliance results Assist in administering the Company's Quality Program in accordance with customer and company requirements. This includes:
Review and assist in development of QA procedures Regular review of production and receiving records Sensory evaluation, visual inspection and analyses (Organoleptic, Moisture, Water Activity) of raw ingredient and finished product samples Maintain sample retain library Conduct final wash inspections of all production rooms Assist in troubleshooting product discrepancies Internal audits of cGMP areas and premises, including glass and brittle inventories Maintain lab safety Conduct Monthly/Quarterly/Bi-Annual/Annual tasks as required by the Food Safety Calendar Conduct environmental analyses, i.e. swabbing Conduct titration analysis of sanitation chemicals Participate in finished goods hold/release system Conduct tasks in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices. Lend technical support to R&D and Operations as applicable Assist in customer complaint investigations Assist in the compliance with all appropriate third party audits such as BRC, Safe Food/Safe Feed and HACCP. Create & Maintain production documents including:
archival storage & organization, master document storage, certificates of analysis. Qualification Requirements:

Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required and 3 years experience in quality control and assurance in an FDA regulated industry or Bachelor's Degree in a science related field preferred. A background in manufacturing and processing environments is desired. Proven analytical strengths and experience. Knowledge and Skills:
