PT JOB OVERVIEW We are currently hiring for a laundry assistant and are looking for someone who has a desire to empower our resident's lives and to be part of a five star and award winning, Great Employers recipient, senior community.
As a laundry assistant, you will perform day-to-day laundry functions as assigned for our skilled nursing residents.
We offer a fun and rewarding work environment where you can make a difference in someone's life by joining our laundry team and love where you work! RESPONSIBILITIES Laundry assistants will collect and sort soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc.
, and place in appropriate containers or assigned areas.
Sort soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc.
, and separate those items that require special stain removal/treatment.
Sort and wash soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc.
, in accordance with established procedures.
Fold, stack, hang, and distribute clean laundry, linen, garments, etc.
, to residents daily and/or as instructed.
Willing to participate in normal Housekeeping activities when requested.
Qualifications No experience required to join our team as a laundry assistant.
Will need the ability to move intermittently throughout the day.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all staff and residents.
Will need the ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
