92 an hour 7 days ago 7 days ago 7 days ago JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Law Office Manager, the Administrative Assistant performs varied receptionist/secretarial/clerical duties in accordance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
This position receives and screens calls and walk-ins, responds to inquiries, and refers to others in the department if necessary.
The Administrative Assistant receives mail and conducts initial data entry.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs first-line customer service reception duties for callers, visitors, and guests of the Attorney's Office; including answering inquiries and/or referring them to the necessary contact to ensure customer satisfaction.
Keeps informed of Attorney schedules by assisting in maintaining in-and-out board and electronic calendars to assist in communicating attorney availability to the Courts, Law Enforcement and other interested parties.
Orders, stocks, and distributes office supplies and materials, and facilitates repairs for equipment to ensure the office has the necessary supplies to be able to conduct business.
Receives, stamps, logs, and distributes incoming USPS and interoffice mail to the proper division and employee to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
Responsible for opening and updating attorney's office files by entering demographic information and other pertinent information including subsequent trial dates into the case management system and routing the open cases to the appropriate person to take additional action.
Acknowledges when a file should be closed and updates the case management system to reflect the closure of the file and is responsible for preparing the file for electronic storage.
Performs other comparable duties of a like or similar nature as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED Two (2) years paid work experience in a secretarial/clerical/administrative support role where the duties included word processing, records management, and customer relation/service responsibilities.
Drivers license or evidence of equivalent mobility.
SCORED EXAMINATION PROCESS All applications will be screened for minimum qualifications, scored and ranked.
The highest ranked candidates meeting minimum qualifications will be recommended for the scored oral examinations (interviews).
Final selection for the position will include successful completion of oral interview(s), reference checks, and background investigation, including CJIS fingerprinting.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
