Construction Project Manager! The Sr.
Construction Project Manager will help construct and lead a team, as well as be the key contact for our clients on all work within his/her portfolio.
The Sr.
Construction Project Manager has extensive knowledge and experience within the drywall/steel stud framing industry.
The Sr.
Construction Project Manager will be empowered to manage the existing business in their designated market to ensure long-lasting relationships.
The Sr.
Construction Project Manager will lead and act as a mentor to their Project Team to empower employees to succeed in their role.
Essential Functions:
Maintain and enhance Contractor relationships to build new Berg business and be involved in new market development.
Manage and grow key client relationships in their designated market.
Deep estimating knowledge in the drywall/steel stud and metal framing space and maintains bid activity that supports overall Sr.
PM portfolio expectation.
Full review of the contract with the Project Manager before submitting it to the Senior Leadership Team for sign-off.
Attend pre-construction meetings to understand complete scope while ensuring safety, quality and productions set up to be met.
Review scope of work and identify any potential risks or scope gaps from estimate to award.
Leveraging and reviewing sub-tier contractors.
Maintains strong knowledge of projects and exceeds set standards for their portfolio.
Monitoring the execution of the project(s) to ensure procedures are followed per company SOPs.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all pertinent information is provided; proactive communication with field leaders on bid productions and other preconstruction-related info and maintains consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Projection of manpower needs to leverage resources, utilizing the information for additional/future projects.
Involved in the debriefing of a project.
Involved in strategic planning to ensure project profitability- communication with the CFO & Executive Team to discuss financial implications, needs, and manage the cash flow to be positioned for success.
Financial management of the project portfolio.
Review WIP and billing.
Financial closeout of the project(s).
Develop trust and maintain a collaborative and supportive leadership presence with your Project Management team.
Participate in and support recruitment, hiring, onboarding efforts as appropriate to develop an exceptional regional team.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Experience as a Project Manager for a minimum of 5 years.
Strong commercial steel stud construction project management background.
Ability to read and comprehend complex construction documents i.
e.
, blueprints.
Extensive knowledge of document editing software i.
e.
, BlueBeam, Adobe Acrobat, and Plan Grid.
Estimating experience and software knowledge; Plexxis is a plus.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients and customers.
Basic presentation skills to represent information and updates in a group setting.
Strong computer skills; proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook, Mac iPad.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Technical degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experience in the construction field; or an equivalent mix of education and field experience.
Bachelor's degree; Construction Management.
Detail-oriented, deadline/goal-driven Ability to multitask, prioritize and be responsive to some disruption Direct Drywall/Steel Stud framing industry (Estimating and Project Management) experience #CMNThis Sr.
