Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift (Sun - Thurs 9pm-5:30am)

The Maintenance Technician will troubleshoot, install, setup, maintain, repair and upgrade production lines, will assemble and disassemble mixing, heating and extrusion equipment, and will perform building and HVAC maintenance. This position will assist with inventory management of supplies, materials, parts & tools. The Maintenance Technician will play an active and instrumental role during large-scale production & building upgrades and/or changeover projects. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for partnering with outside vendors, as required, to successfully perform all expectations of the role.Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Perform troubleshooting, repair and installation of:
-Mechanical devices and components including Gears, bearings, drives and gearboxes -Electronic devices and components including low and high voltage AC & DC motors, sensors, PLC's, actuators, power supplies, transformers, heating and cooling controls and systems -Pneumatics systems including compressors, logic circuits, actuators, sensors Perform preventive inspections, lubrication, periodic and incidental maintenance, and repair of production equipment & HVAC. Perform maintenance, inspection, testing, and operation of all steam boilers and related equipment. Perform fabrication of equipment and parts through welding and some basic machining processes Assist in the design, specification and/or procurement of new equipment Coach and train production operators in basic maintenance of production machinery and equipment Work as a team and communicate professionally. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Perform duties within quality control and safety guidelines. Keep work area, shop floor and other areas clean and maintained. Follow standard work protocols, WOs, WIPs Understand and promote safety in all areas of the facility Communicate status of maintenance projects and issues with department lead and management Accept direction and work with minimal supervision Other duties as assigned Qualification Requirements:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and Experience High school diploma or general education degree and five or more years industrial maintenance or equivalent experience Two year technical training degree desired Forklift certification Proficient use of hand and power tools, pipe threading, TIG welding Electrical experience with AC/DC high and low voltages Read and comprehend schematics, blueprints, specifications, procedure manuals and instructions Possess a valid Special MN Boiler's License, or ability to obtain Skilled operation of stand-up and sit-down forklifts. Knowledge and Skills Excellent problem solving and critical thinking ability Confident decision making ability Strong attention to detail Strong organization, prioritization, multi-tasking and planning skills Strong communication skills, verbal and written Good computer skill and MS Office knowledge Knowledge of maintenance and asset management software (FIIX, MP2 etc.) Embrace business and personal continuous improvement initiatives Experience in manufacturing environment Experience in a FDA regulated environment Compensation details:
