The Manufacturing Engineer position is responsible for working with the various manufacturing managers in developing and implementing world class manufacturing through more efficient and effective methods of producing products and processes, focusing on safety, service, quality, and agility through process improvements. Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for testing, and evaluating the product to established standards.
Product Support and Training
Evaluates existing processes and implements new processes/automation techniques to improve product flow, part quality and first pass yields to reduce product cost and lead time. Creates/revises part instructions and routings and train production and maintenance personnel on the use, set-up, maintain and trouble-shoot process/equipments.
Initiates and leads lean-sigma projects on key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, total product lead time reduction, cost effectiveness and product/system quality. Promotes and implements use of continuous improvement tools to eliminate non-value added activities.
Works with production personnel to attain 100% on-time shipping performance by eliminating quality issues, improving capacity on bottle-neck processes and providing round-the-clock support.
Leads 8D Problem Solving Teams in the failure analysis, root cause investigation, and corrective and preventative action activities for customer complaint resolution and internal manufacturing defect resolutions ensuring feedback and corrective action communication and implementation is consistent with customer expectations. Ensures closure of corrective actions within timing goals.
Participates as a team member on New Product Development Teams (development of FMEA and Control Plans, data collection and analysis, etc.) and analyzes the results of, validation and qualification protocols for products, processes, and equipment and work through Release to Manufacturing process to release only capable process to production.
Develops ROI data for equipment replacement and coordinates its design, purchase or construction, and implementation with emphasis on design of fixtures. Develops assembly techniques, procedures and manufacturing cost reduction plans.
Participates in material disposition decisions and reviews the status of blocked stock materials for the timely implementation of material disposition decisions.
Participates in 6S and Kaizen activities in all assigned manufacturing areas. Adheres to company established safety practices and promptly reports potential hazards
Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals
Project Management
Leads projects and ensures all internal and external stakeholder requirements are met.
Develops and updates product development plans and schedules.
Holds project team members accountable for timely completion of assigned tasks and activities.
Documentation and Audits
Authors and/or reviews Standard Operating Processes, work instructions, test specifications, and other documents for accuracy.
Follows and ensures compliance to departmental procedures.
Develops and maintains audit functions (product, process, and operating system) ensuring quality systems and products are consistent with internal documentation, standards, and customer requirements.
B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or highly related field and 3-5 years of experience including automated production machinery; electronic test and assembly experience preferred. Requires Black Belt certification or ability to obtain Black Belt certification within two years. Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb a ladder up to 15 ft. and walk and stand during entire shift. Good visual ability to detect quality defects. Works in a manufacturing environment.
Expert knowledge and experience with implementing Six Sigma, process improvements (DOE), Statistical Process Controls, Process capabilities studies, FMEA, process audits, Root Cause analysis, Problem Solving Techniques and other proactive quality management practices; project management and leadership skills with an ability to collaborate with cross functional departments such as R&D;, Product Management, and Process Engineering; AutoCAD, strong Microsoft Office and ERP systems skills (SAP desired).
Knowledge and experience in creating routings, work instructions, ECR/ECO process, Cost analysis, value stream mapping, project management process monitoring (RJG, MKS), Fixture/Tool designs.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
