Apex is currently seeking an accomplished financial analyst to help contribute to our customers' success by providing accurate accounting and non accounting data, pricing information and insightful analysis on which to make business decisions.

The ideal candidate will have more than 2 years and less than 7 years of successful audit or corporate accounting experience in a fast paced, innovative manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Ensure that underlying costs data regarding product profitability is accurate.
Ensure that the quote model generates costs estimates and pricing that meets or exceed company profitability targets.
Review sales quotes for accuracy and reasonableness and report improvement opportunities.
Monitor material cost changes and work with purchasing and sales to mitigate impact on product profitability.
Ensure that customer sales prices are updated quarterly for material cost changes
Ensure the accuracy of underlying product data through random audits of cost data
Ensure that customer cost savings efforts are prioritized based upon data and projected ROI.
Provide accurate reports and analysis to the sales department as directed.

2. Ensure accurate financial analysis to monitor business performance and to make informed decisions.
Ensure that provided analyses are accurate and timely communicated to those who need it.
Ensure that cost reduction activities are prioritized based upon data and projected ROI.
Ensure that variances from plan and past performance are identified and explained.
Interpret operating results as they affect profitability and financial aspects of the business.
Make appropriate recommendations based upon interpretation of data and analysis.
Ensure accuracy of management reports through random audits of underlying data.
Provide accurate reports and analysis to operations as directed.
3. Ensure that capital expenditures achieve anticipated ROI as projected on respective capital expenditure requests.

5. Understand and maintain a culture of lean action within the department so that we live lean better than any organization.
Implement and maintain standards and processes that eliminate waste throughout the department.
Apply and utilize lean tools to permanently implement improvements.
Institutionalize 5-S in all aspects of the department. (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain)
Qualification and Skill Requirements:
Prior
Experience:
This position requires more than 2 years and less than 7 years of successful audit or corporate accounting experience in a fast paced, innovative manufacturing environment.

Knowledge Requirements:
To be effective, this position requires customer focus, constant improvement and results orientation as core character traits. This position also requires the following:

Financial aptitude and a proven ability to analyze financial and non financial data.
A high level of competence in accounting and finance.
An understanding of Enterprise software preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Licenses and Certifications: CPA is a plus but not required.

Certifications or required class attendance: As directed.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
