Responsibilities:
Continuously maintain and improve lines efficiencies.
Engineer, design, and modify equipment to improve performance.
Use of the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), ensuring system reliability and accuracy.
Maintain safety, cleanliness, and upkeep of equipment and maintenance areas.
Understand and maintain a culture of lean action within the department so that we live
lean better than any organization.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
This position requires 5 or more years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or a two year Associate's degree (A.A.) in maintenance.
Strong welding and basic machinery skills.
Sanitary pipe fitting.

Knowledge Requirements:
To be effective, this position requires the ability to multi task, demonstrate a sense of urgency, and the ability to organize. Needs to understand or learn all procedures and processes and Good Manufacturing Practices. Knowledge is normally acquired through a technical school certificate of degree and/or equivalent experience.

Technical Competencies:
Uses processes and technology to improve the quality and efficiency of production; follows processes well.
Can maintain and grow technical knowledge and expertise. Can be accurate, precise and pay attention to detail.
Has a working knowledge of personal computer operation. Is proficient at Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Office XP, Excel, Word and Outlook.
Understands or capable of learning our MRP software, PLC software and CMMS.
Able to operate production office equipment including label printers and copiers.
Can read and write at a 12th grade level.
Can read and follow specifications written in English.
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and able to work with fractions and decimals is required.
