Garden Center Team Leader

Floral Plant Growers (FPG) is looking for a merchandising Team Lead that will work within a local home improvement garden center to stock, display and merchandise annual flowers. In addition, the Team Lead will assist with managing and training seasonal merchandisers.
This position will start late March potentially going through December with 10 - 40 hours per week depending on the time of year. Day, evening and weekend flexibility is required.
Job Duties
- Stock, display and merchandise FPG annual flowers in garden center
- Assist with managing and training seasonal merchandisers
- Conduct product inventory
- Identify unsalable product to be tossed
- Utilize hand held technology for product pricing and ad sets
- Answer customer questions to help sell FPG product
- Maintain a clean, well-organized garden center
- Communicate product needs and store concerns to your manager

- Prior merchandising experience in a retail environment

- Consistent, reliable transportation
- Available to work Mother's Day weekend and Memorial Day weekend
- Daily access to computer and e-mail
- Personal cell phone required with the ability to call, text and take pictures
- Ability to stand for the duration of your shift while regularly lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling and reaching overhead
- Ability to work as a team and independently with limited supervision
Locations available include; Chaska and Brooklyn Park.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
